The Southside is known for its early morning southerly winds. The ridge is 300′ high and clear of any obstacles. It accommodates students who want to practice kiting, slope launches, high-wind launches, and flying.
The Northside is known for it Northerly winds that show up in the afternoon. Launch from the foothills, bench up to Steep Mountain, ridge soar, or venture out and try thermalling. Or, get lucky and fly the glass-off.
This is big mountain flying at its best. Beautiful views from above launch. See the famous Wasatch Range - the western edge of the Rocky Mountains.
Practice your kiting skills in the morning at the Southside. Take a couple of test flights. The launch from the foothills at the Northside. Bench up and ridge soar Steep Mountain in the background. Push out and try thermalling. Top land at the flight park.
Let us shuttle you from launch to launch and organize retrievals from the LZ.
Bring your wallet. You will be hungry. There are many convenience stores for coffee and snacks. Bathrooms are available enroute or at the launch.

Determine the weather outlook for the morning and afternoon. Plan the best selection of sites for optimal wind direction and launching.
Generally there is a window in the morning and in the evening for an hour plus flight. You will have an instructor-in-your-ear to aid you in entering thermals, exiting, surge control, and directing you to known triggers.
Flight debrief while enroute to next destination or during meals. Weather and planning update. Log books get signed.
